As an essential part of every vehicle, a muffler has a rather important role that many of us tend to take for granted. Without a muffler the vehicle's exhaust system, or specifically the fumes and noise of the engine would make their way in instead of out, so that should be reason enough to take this part seriously though its importance with the vehicle's performance isn't to be overlooked either.


This being said, it's necessary to pay attention to the muffler, checking it regularly to see whether it's functional because rust can be a problem as it causes holes and loosens parts, tuning the system up when needed and remember to keep an eye on warning signs because once something's wrong it's going to affect the rest of the exhaust system and worse, you're going to have to acquire new mufflers.
